Nursery Decor inspiration

If you follow me along on my vlog channel, you would know that recently I have been making a start on ‘project nursery’. I’m not too sure when the usual time that parents-to-be make a start on their nursery, but planning and being prepared is in my DNA! Once I was into my second trimester, I decided that I would make a start on tackling the room and to get some nursery decor inspiration ideas together.

The room which will be Baby Fragolas nursery was being used as a bit of a dumping ground for things that didn’t really have a place. I had my old furniture that I had from when I was a child (which I adore, it was just a little too big for the room) which housed the majority of my clothes. It was also used for yarn storage which is part of my business. Needless to say, it was very full indeed! Over the Easter break, we hired a skip so that we could have a really big clear out of the house and garage. My lovely Mum came round to help me for a few days and FORCE me to deal with things! THE WOMAN IS A MACHINE! I seriously couldn’t have done half of the things I did without her as I have a tendency to faff around, especially when it comes to discarding things. At the end of the week, the skip is full and after a few runs to the charity shop the house and garage feel so much better.

As I’ve been clearing out, I’ve put a little thought into what I imagine the nursery to look like and of course I’ve spent hours looking through Pinterest to put together a few ideas. My style is generally soft and feminine and I feel this would also make the perfect and relaxing environment for a newborn baby. So here are a few of my inspiration photos I shall be using as a starting point for the room.

At this point, we don’t know if we are having a boy or a girl but I still feel that the room will have fairly neutral feel and then hints of colour depending on the gender will be added. We have already chosen the furniture that we would like for the room which is from Mothercare. I’d love to know your thoughts!
