Must have books for the Girly Girl

Girly Books

I confess, I am a girly girl. I love pink, gold and anything that sparkles…but I guess that doesn’t surprise you much does it? Although I’m not the kind of person who sits down every night to read a book, I am the kind of person who feels the incessant need to buy pretty books to use as home decor and to browse through once in a while.

Girly Books

The books that I talk about today are some of the ones which I have collected over the years and scattered around my home to add a touch of femininity….who am I kidding, my house is pretty feminine to be fair- it’s a good job my Husband is so laid back in terms of home decor.

Cupcakes and Cashmere at home by Emily Schuman

A book packed full of hits and tips about decorating and styling, practical advise on renting or owning a home and party decor ideas. Emily has an elegant style and the book is extremely pleasing to the eye.

Cupcakes and Cashmere

It by Alexa Chung

Now, I’m not going to lie. I did’t get this book because I’m a fan of Alexa Chung or because I’m big into fashion. I’m gonna keep this completely real and tell you the truth….I got it because its pink. Yes. I’d seen it on so many Instagram photos, on so many blog posts- I just had to get on that very pretty bandwagon and ride it all the way. Sorry not sorry.

The latest of Laurens lifestyle books is Celebrate. You may have heard me gush over Lauren Conrad many times before- but I just love this girls style. This book gives you tonnes of hints and tips of planning and preparing for an occasion.

There is another book which is next on my list of purchases, I just haven’t got around to picking it up yet. Luxe Life by Fleur De Force was released a few weeks back and like the book above, it has a lovely feminine feel to it. I’m looking forward to purchasing and browsing through with a cuppa in my hand 🙂
