Crochet mood blanket 2014

Hi Bellas,
Well I can’t believe 2014 is nearly done..shame I can’t say the same about my mood blanket! *insert hands over eyes monkey emoji!* I started out so well, and then I went back to work, life happened and I kinda fell behind. 6 months behind to be more specific. Luckily I wrote down my moods for the rest of the year, so I continue to complete it throughout 2015! I’m really looking forward to seeing it completed, not so looking forward to sewing all the ends!
Many of you have asked me to share what moods I picked and which colours. So here it is. I tried to pick moods that I thought I may experience throughout the year, some good, some bad. I think I only ended up adding one more to the list as I was going through.
All of the yarn I have used is Stylecraft Special DK
Anxious- Sherbert
Sad- Cloud blue
Creative- Plum
Inspired- Magenta
motivated- Saffron
Loved- Bright pink
Happy- Fondant
Productive- Spring Green
Frustrated- Apricot
Excited- Pomegranate
Exhausted- Wisteria
Tired- Pale Rose
Hormonal- Shrimp
A bit off- Clematis
Relaxed- Lemon
Poorly- Aster
Thankful- Aspen
I really like how the colours have come together. I did a basic granny square and added a border of cream to each of the square and joined using the join as you go method and I have 16 squares in one row.
There are multiple ways in which you can put your squares together:

If you do the calculations, these will not amount to 365. They will be very close, but it will give you a few days to work on the border of the blanket and to complete.

If I was to do anything differently or give advice to any of you wanting to do a mood blanket for 2015, then I would choose more moods for ‘Happy’ and sew in my ends as I went along. I was so pleased that I remembered to write down my moods each day. If I hadn’t of done that, I wouldn’t be able to complete the blanket.

What my blanket is looking like so far!

Happy new year to you all! I hope you have an amazing night!

Hi Sarah-Jayne! I love this idea. Your finished blanket it absolutely gorgeous! My local knitting/crochet group is planning on doing this for 2016! Approximately how much of each color did you end up needing for this entire project? Thank you!
